I am quilting with transparent fabrics and decided that it would be ideal to have a similar colour wadding as my fabric and so I went about dyeing it with disperse dyes. My practise piece worked fine so I went ahead to colour a larger piece. I am pleased with the colour but it would have been better if the wadding could have been laid flat throughout because being scrunched into a dye bath meant it got some minor permanent creases. I don't think it will be an issue later but possibly would make the job of quilting easier.
