Rue Faubourg St Honore, Paris

Can't believe I was able to go into Etro to have a close up look! I've got pictures of their S/S13 collection throughout my research and to be able to see the quilted detail on that kimono was amazing! The sales assistant was really friendly and had no objection to me touching all the garments! As I was about to leave he asked if I would like a catalogue... Yes please! He then proceeded to put three booklets in an Etro bag, tied with a ribbon and then sprayed it with perfume! I must have had the biggest grin walking down the street, swinging an Etro bag!!! P.S an Etro handbag for Christmas would be lovely ;)

I also popped into Missoni while I was here! I'm not a knitted but I have so much admiration for the detail and elegance of this brand. I spent forever looking at all the garments.  I particularly liked the selection of colours in the ombre knitted sleeves and also a dress completely covered in a sequin layer.

The Window Displays

At Christmas my grandfather was showing me photos of his career years.  He used to be a very sought after window and display designer for big name shops and department stores in London, Cheltenham and Eastbourne.  I had a lovely time looking through his life and seeing where my creativity may have come from!  I just wish he could have seen some of the windows down this street in Paris!  Hermes window display was my favourite.  You could see through tho the opposite window and it featured a swan.
